Financial wellness is planning your life.
One friend said, “I guess I need to start saving, so I’m not asking my parents for money every second of every day.”
A Note from the CEO
I just finished recording a new Queen Me episode on financial wellness, and it got me thinking about what we learn in school, when we learn it, and why we learn it.
For example, I first learned about the importance of saving money and investing properly freshman year of high school. Many of my friends did not learn until freshman year of college when they were out on their own and had to learn the hard way.
One friend said, “I guess I need to start saving, so I’m not asking my parents for money every second of every day.”
If all youth learned financial wellness early on, what might happen?
Learning about financial wellness is more than just learning about budgets, debt, and financial obligations. It’s interconnected with freedom, opportunity, and exploration.
Financial wellness is planning your life.
If all youth learned subjects they cared about early on, what might happen?
I bet something pretty incredible.
